장기 요양인의 날, 왜 필요한가요?

돌봄 종사자를 응원하는 것이 어르신을 위한 길입니다.


우리나라는 초고령 사회에 접어들면서 장기요양 서비스의 중요성이 더욱 커지고 있습니다.

부여군 에서도 요양원, 주간보호 센터, 방문요양, 방문목욕 등 장기요양 서비스를 담당하는 종사자들의 역할은 날로 커지고 있습니다.

최근 부여군 재가 노인복지 협회와 노인요양시설협회는 장기 요양 종사자의 자긍심을 높이고 돌봄 서비스의 질을 향상 시키기 위해 '부여군 장기 요양인의 날'을 군 차원의 공식 행사로 지원해 달라는 정책을 제안했습니다.

행사의 목적은 종사자들의 노고를 격려하고, 기관 간 화합과 협력을 통해 더 나은 돌봄 환경을 만들어 어르신과 가족 모두가 체감할 수 있는 복지 서비스를 실현하는 데 있습니다.

Why Buyeo Needs an Official Long-Term Care Workers' Day

South Korea has entered a super-aged society, making long-term care services more important than ever.

In Buyeo County, the demand for nursing homes, adult day care centers, home care, and home bathing services continues to increase every year.

Behind every quality care service are dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to support older adults with dignity, compassion, and responsibility.

A policy proposal submitted by the Buyeo Home Care Association and the Buyeo Nursing Facility Association recommends establishing an official "Buyeo Long-Term Care Workers' Day" with annual county support.

The proposal emphasizes that recognizing long-term care professionals is not only about appreciation but also about strengthening the entire care system.

Its primary goals include improving worker morale, expanding recognition programs, encouraging cooperation among care providers, enhancing service quality, and promoting Buyeo as an age-friendly community.

Official county support would include annual event funding, recognition awards, community activities, and public awareness campaigns designed to highlight the value of long-term care services.

When caregivers receive greater respect and recognition, they are more likely to remain in their profession, leading to improved workforce stability and better quality of care.

Ultimately, the greatest beneficiaries are older adults and their families.

High-quality elder care depends not only on modern facilities but also on the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of the people who provide daily care.

Supporting caregivers means creating a stronger community where older adults can enjoy healthier, safer, and more dignified lives.

As Korea continues to age, recognizing the contributions of long-term care professionals is becoming an essential part of building a sustainable welfare system for future generations.

멀리 계신 가족에게 가장 큰 선물은 '오늘도 잘 지내고 계신 모습'입니다

  요양원에 부모님을 모신 가족이라면 누구나 같은 마음일 것입니다. "오늘은 잘 지내고 계실까?" "식사는 잘 하셨을까?"
